Years ago, I couldn’t save her.

Minnie needed me—she called out to me through the eyes of fear and the hands of helplessness. I saw it, but I didn’t do anything about it.

If time could reverse and take me to the beginning, before the seed of evil formed veins in her blood, I would give up everything to help her.

Then life gives me another chance to save my special girl years later.

I won’t pretend anything was alright again because she still needs help, but it’s different now.

She doesn’t need me anymore.
